Vivek Ramachandran

Cameron Buchanan is a penetration tester by trade and a writer in his spare time. He has performed penetration tests around the world for a variety of clients across many industries. Previously, he was a member of the RAF. He enjoys doing stupid things, such as trying to make things fly, getting electrocuted, and dunking himself in freezing cold water in his spare time. He is married and lives in London.

Awesome book. My only complaint is that he sometimes lacks detail about what he's doing and why. Which is a common fault of writers, they assume you know whats going because they do. No we don't thats why we buy books.

The absolute best teacher on this topic that I have encountered!

I have just finished reading this book that I purchased through the Packt Publishing website. I cannot say enough good things about this book. A person with little to no prior knowledge of wireless penetration testing will walk away from this book with a very solid foundation of the topic. Everything is explained in a very comprehensive manner, and with the clarity to allow a novice to understand! I really admire Vivek Ramachandran's teaching skills. I have watched many of his SecurityTube videos and the enthusiasm with which he explains the material is very infectious. I enjoy his tutorials more than any other that I have watched on the web, they are truly a joy to watch! I can, without reservation, say that this feeling now extends to this book. I set up my own virtual lab and went through each and every exercise included in the book. If something did not work as expected it was due to an error on my part, which when corrected the exercise worked perfectly. I really appreciate the time and effort that Mr. Ramachandran puts into teaching a subject matter that he is clearly one of the world's top experts at! Thank you. - Scott from Maine.

Another great book for Kali Linux

As with most cookbooks, this one is a great example of how to do things correctly. Anyone can install an OS and since it boots, we believe that is running the properly. After I started to read the book, I noticed that I did not do nearly enough to hide / protect myself. This book with get you going from start to finish with what to do and more importantly why we should do it. I did learn a lot with this book and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to start-up with KALI Linux and grasp an fuller understanding of it.

I have always enjoyed Packt Publishing book and this one is also a hit !

Balewa (1912-1966) was elected Federal Prime Minister of Nigeria in 1960 and later killed in a military coup. This novella (the author's only major literary work and a bestseller in his native country) was first published in 1955. Hiskett ( The Development of Islam in West Africa ) warns that it "is more than a story. It is a statement of the values and philosophy of orthodox Islam." The tale within a tale about the Hausa, black Africans who observe Islamic law, relates the plights of slaves bought and sold at the turn of the century. The mother of the eponymous young narrator must leave her son and entrusts him to the care of a friend, but he is kidnapped. When a hyena attacks and devours the kidnapper, Umar is adopted by a series of childless women. These foster mothers are enslaved, while the child (later a wise man and teacher) is concerned solely with his own comfort. When his real mother learns of the kidnapping, she tells her parents, "and they both exclaimed, 'God is mighty!' " Similarly impenetrable exchanges make it difficult for Westerners to view Shaihu Umar as more than a curio, despite the inclusion of an introduction commissioned for this first American edition.
