Is it Magic or Science or Religion?
By James F. Lawson
Malinowski was a contemporary of Margaret Mead, but worked with a diff3ent set of Pacific Islanders. He discovered that the lines between the three fields were fluid and often overlapped. None of the three fields is black and white, there is a lot of gray at the borders. This is one of the most interesting books I've read. I highly recommend it.

What is the difference?
By James F. Lawson
This is one of the most interesting books I have read. A fascinating book. Mzlinowski was a contemporary of Margaret Mead, but worked in a different island group. This book shows that magic science and religion have more in common than one would think. Malinowski shows how the islanders see the lines between each of the disciplines as being fuzzy rather than sharp.

Interested in human behavior? This book may be for you.
By Kurt
This book can be incredibly boring because its written with a antiquated, prosaic tone. Malinowski's theories can at times seem transparent and nave, but this is what you would expect from a collection of essays written roughly 50 years ago. Notwithstanding, If you're a patient reader and push through this work you will cull some very thought provoking knowledge from it.
